Art for the rest of us.

About ArtLab OKC

Words only go so far. We need more creative ways to access the unknown mysteries of ourselves. That’s why I created ArtLab OKC. I’m giving people an opportunity to connect with themselves and others that is different than your average therapy experience. It’s evocative. It’s painless. It’s fun.

Behind ArtLab OKC: Sara Whitehead, LCSW

Art was my first love; psychotherapy was my second. I have led art groups for over 15 years and I have dedicated over a decade to building my private practice. I’ve practiced as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2009. I’ve provided psychotherapy to adults, children, couples, and groups. In 2019 I earned a certificate in Object Relations Theory and Practice from the International Psychotherapy Institute in Washington D.C. I am not a registered art therapist although I have received special training in art therapy from the American Art Therapy Association beginning in 2021.
